NWS confirms two EF0 tornados in Gordon County

The National Weather Service has confirmed two EF0 tornadoes that occurred in Gordon County during the severe weather event we saw last week.

The first was west of Sonoraville along Fairmount Highway with a path length of 4.72 miles and peak winds of 85 miles per hour.

The second tornado was south of Sonoraville with a path length of 2.39 miles and peak winds of 75 mph.

Gordon County Sheriff Mitch Ralston said the storms brought down multiple trees and power lines, especially in the Sonoraville area.

No injuries were reported.
