Man accused of assaulting, threatening woman

A Kingston man is accused of assaulting a woman at his Blarney Way residence.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

28-year-old Cody Lee Higdon struck the woman in the back of the head, and covered her mouth while choking her.

He then retrieved a screwdriver and threatened to kill the victim with it.

Hidgon would not let the woman leave the residence when her friend arrived.

He is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, false imprisonment, and simple battery.

Warrant: Man stole pellet gun during burglary

A Silver Creek man was charged in a reported burglary on Abrams Road on April 30.

According to the arrest warrant:

25-year-old Jonathan Lee Hensley entered the residence and stole a pellet gun valued at $500.

He concealed the item by stuffing it into his pants.

Hensley, who later admitted to the theft, is charged with 1st-degree burglary.

Warrant: Man threatened to ‘blow up’ West Rome Walmart

A 37-year-old West Rome man is accused of threatening to “Blow up” Walmart.

According to an arrest warrant:

Daniel Scott Beavers Sr. made the threat against the store on Redmond Circle back on May 5.

He is charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.

Woman accused of making threats

A Cedartown woman was booked into the Floyd County Jail Thursday and charged with terroristic threats and acts.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

The victim was at the Rome Police Department headquarters to make a report that 30-year-old Summer Jordan Garner had threatened to kill her.

Garner, who was with the victim at the police station, was asked by an officer if she wanted to harm the victim, and Garner stated that she did.
