14th District Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who had been rumoured as a possible candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2026, says she is not running.

In a post on X Friday, Greene wrote:

Someone once said, “The Senate is where good ideas go to die.”

They were right.

That’s why I’m not running.

I won’t fight for a team that refuses to win, that protects its weakest players, and that undermines the very people it’s supposed to serve.

Earlier in the week, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced that he would not be running against incumbent Democrat John Ossoff next year.

Congressman Buddy Carter, who represents the Savannah area in Georgia’s 1st District, is the first announced Republican candidate for next year’s Senate race.
