The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a contract for a bridge replacement on I-75 in Bartow County.
The bridge over Cedar Creek Road is approximately 5.2 miles northwest of White.
CMES, Inc. of Norcross is the low bidder at just under $23 million.
The bridge replacement will require reconstruction of a portion of Cedar Creek Road.
Traffic on Cedar Creek Road would have to be redirected to an off-site detour for a maximum of 12 months.
The estimated completion date is March, 2028.
