Man charged with aggravated assault
An East Rome man is accused of choking a family member at his East 14th Street home on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
The victim sustained marks on her body as a result of the fight.
30-year-old Isaiah Alphonzo Sullivan is charged with aggravated assault and battery.
Man accused of threatening to shoot woman
A Rome man was arrested at his Kinston Highway home on Monday on charges of terroristic threats and acts and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
58-year-old Horace Daniel King threatened to shoot a woman.
He was also found in possession of a gun.
Felon accused of having a firearm
A Kingston man arrested earlier this month for a probation violation is now facing an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
18-year-old Heath Christian Casey was in possession of a Springfield Hellcat 9mm pistol back in January.
Casey was convicted of a felony in February of 2024.
