Last Friday, an officer responded to the business and was told that a man had been coming into the store with a Target bag. He would act like he was trying on shoes and would remove the shoes from the boxes and put them into the bag before leaving the store.

A vehicle driven by 46-year-old Nahunta Sha-Ron Finley was stopped by police in Emerson.
Items stolen from Famous Footwear that day and other possible stolen items were located in the vehicle, along with suspected cocaine and 12 pills believed to be MDMA.
As police were searching the vehicle, Finley attempted to escape by running, but tripped and was apprehended.
Finley is charged with three counts of felony theft by shoplifting, one count of misdemeanor theft by shoplifting, possession of cocaine, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, misdemeanor obstruction of officers, giving a false name or address, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and a probation violation.
