(Bartow County Jail Mugshot: 50-year-old James Burton Crawford of Woodstock)

According to a report by WBHF Radio, Bartow County deputies arrested 50-year-old James Burton Crawford of Woodstock on 40 counts of unlawful surveillance.

The charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred between June 2 and August 26, 2023.

The investigation began last October when a detective with the Adairsville Police Department met with a complainant about a hidden camera found inside a restroom at the Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service satellite office on Legacy Way in Adairsville.

Upon closer inspection, a part-time paramedic had spotted a suspicious clock on a restroom shelf and discovered it housed a hidden camera and an SD card.

After the company’s IT department reviewed the footage, they allegedly found video of Crawford, a Metro paramedic, moving the camera around the restroom and adjusting its position.

Crawford was booked into the Bartow County Jail and has since been released on a $50,000 bond.

The case remains under investigation at this time.
