A beloved community tradition for garden enthusiasts and history lovers alike returns this weekend.
The Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home’s annual Herb and Plant Sale takes place at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds on April 12-13, 2025, with an exclusive Members-Only Preview Sale on April 11.
Herb and Plant Sale Dates and Times
Friday, April 11 – Members-Only Shopping from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday, April 12 – Open to the Public from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday, April 13 – Open to the Public from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
For decades, the Chieftains Museum Herb & Plant Sale has offered a wide variety of locally grown plants, herbs, flowers, and shrubs, with proceeds supporting the museum’s mission to preserve and share the history of Major Ridge, the Ridge family, and the Cherokee people. Visitors will have the opportunity to shop for beautiful plants while contributing to the preservation of this important legacy.
Museum members will receive early access to the sale on Friday evening, allowing them to get first pick of the best selections.
Memberships can be purchased or renewed on-site to take advantage of this exclusive perk.
