-Gordon County Sheriff’s Office News Release-
On Saturday, Gordon County deputy sheriffs received information that a missing juvenile was located at a local motel near US 41 / I-75 near Calhoun.
Responding deputies did locate the missing minor, who was returned to the parents.
The minor had been reported missing from a neighboring jurisdiction.
A Pickens County man, subsequently identified as one Nicholas Kowalski, age 29, of Talking Rock, Georgia, was found in the same motel room and detained.
Investigating sheriff’s detectives arrested Kowalski and charged him with aggravated child molestation, child cruelty, and a number of other related offenses.
