Georgia’s Rome Tennis Open, a week of competition featuring the rising stars of women’s professional tennis, wrapped up Sunday at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College.

Victoria Mboko from Canada won the singles title over Eva Vedder, 7-5, 6-3, on Sunday. Mboko, who is just 18, said she started playing tennis at the age of 3.

Sophie Chang and Angela Kulikov jump for joy Saturday after they beat Whitney Osuigwe and Eva Vedder 7-6, 6-4, to win the doubles title at Georgia’s Rome Tennis Open. The event, a week of competition featuring the rising stars of women’s professional tennis, wrapped up Sunday at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College.

Eva Vedder from The Netherlands also battled her way through to the final round of singles play against Victoria Mboko, who won both sets.
