The Floyd County Board of Education is holding a called meeting Monday to discuss the applications and process of appointing a new board member.
Chip Hood recently stepped down from the school board to run for an open seat on the Floyd County Commission.
Hood represented District One, which includes the Armuchee and Glenwood areas.
Also during Monday’s meeting, the school board will go into executive session to discuss personnel.
The meeting begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Floyd County Schools Central Office on Riverside Parkway.
