The Rome Police Department is investigating the theft of a shotgun from a vehicle at the Hampton Inn on West First Street last week.
According to a Rome Police Department report:
Someone broke into the Dodge Ram 2500 between 10:45 and 11:45 p.m. Sunday by smashing the rear window.
A “Frenchi” 12-gauge shotgun, which was bottomland camouflage and valued at $1,200, was missing from the vehicle.
