Man charged with auto theft

A Rockmart man was accused of stealing a vehicle in August of last year.

According to an arrest warrant:

24-year-old Triston Drake Bright took the 2002 Honda Civic from a location on Rockmart Road in Silver Creek.

He is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle and entering an automobile.

Man accused of having stolen Mercedes

A homeless man, already in jail, is facing an additional charge of theft by receiving stolen property.

According to an arrest warrant:

30-year-old Gary Dalton Morgan received and retained a 2009 Mercedes ML550 that he knew or should have known had been stolen on October 30.

Morgan was also previously charged with theft by receiving after he admitted to being in possession of a stolen 2019 Dodge Ram valued at $20,000.

Morgan was initially arrested Tuesday after he was found with a shotgun and admitted to swallowing methamphetamine.

Woman charged with meth possession

A 53-year-old Rome woman is facing a felony drug charge.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Angela Dawn Shirey was found with methamphetamine during a search prior to an arrest on Lock and Dam Park Road.

She is charged with possession of meth.

Shirey is also being held for Polk County authorities.

Alabama man arrested on felony drug count

A Montgomery, Alabama man was arrested on the Southwest Bypass at Burnett Ferry Road on a felony possession of marijuana charge.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

33-year old Devon Fitzgerald Hardy was found with more than an ounce of marijuana.
