Man charged in 2020 shooting

A North Rome man has been charged in a shooting incident that occurred more than three years ago.

22-year-old Notorious Xzaveon Pitts shot a woman at a home on Dellvue Place in West Rome back on September 23, 2020.

According to an arrest warrant:

Pitts was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday on charges of aggravated assault, and two felony probation violations.

Woman accused of stealing from an elderly person

A West Rome woman is facing charges of exploitation of the elderly, 4th-degree forgery, and financial transaction card fraud following her arrest Tuesday.

According to the arrest warrants:

46-year-old Angela Kay Settlemoir forged and cashed a check on the account of a woman who is over the age of 65.

Settlemoir also linked the victim’s bank account to her Venmo without permission.

Woman charged with forgery

A Silver Creek woman is accused of writing and making a fake will for her deceased father.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

53-year-old Sharon Diane Redden is charged with a felony count of 1st-degree forgery.

Redden was already in jail on charges of felony theft by shoplifting and a probation violation when the additional charge was filed.

Report: Woman failed to provide nourishment, medical care for her dog

A Rome woman was arrested Tuesday at her Lakewood Drive home on a felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

33-year-old Kayla Jo Tate failed to provide the necessary nutrition and medical care for her dog, causing severe emaciation.

Chattanooga woman arrested for shoplifting in Floyd County

A Chattanooga woman was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday on a warrant charging her with felony theft by shoplifting.

According to the warrant:

27-year-old Mauquisha Danyelle Glenn took more than $1,600 in merchandise from Ulta Beauty on Turner McCall Boulevard back on January 25.

She put the items in a shopping basket and then concealed the basket as she left the store.
