More charges have been filed against a Silver Creek teen that has been in jail since late March when he was arrested in connection with the theft of guns and other items from vehicles, primarily in the Lindale area.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

17-year-old Eric Christian Byars Jr. is now accused of stealing firearms and other items from vehicles on Woodberry Drive, Midland Drive, and Crossridge Drive off Rockmart Road in Silver Creek back in November.

The new charges include six counts of entering an automobile, six counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, four counts of felony theft by taking, and one count of misdemeanor theft by taking.
