Warrant: Man threw piece of wood at disabled adult

A West Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with exploitation or intimidation of a disabled adult.

According to the warrant:

41-year-old Robert Shane Cochran threw a piece of wood at a 67-year-old disabled man on Monday at a location on Longmeadow Drive.

The victim sustained lacerations on his right arm and back.

Cochran is also charged with simple battery.

Man charged with conspiracy to violated Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act

A Rome man is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

41-year-old Christopher Hosea Chambers conspired with others to distribute drugs.

Narcotics were received at his Dodd Boulevard apartment after he was arrested on Thursday of last week on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and contempt of superior court.
