Two transported following three-vehicle wreck Friday between Rome and Cartersville

The Georgia State Patrol has released information regarding a three-vehicle wreck Friday morning on Highway 411 in Bartow County.

According to the GSP:

At around 7:30 am, a Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling north on Carroll Slough Road attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of 411.

The driver of the Jeep failed to yield after stopping at the stop sign and entered the path of a Honda Accord that was traveling east on 411 in the left lane.

The Honda struck the driver’s side of the Jeep.

After this impact, the Honda traveled into the westbound lanes where its passenger side was struck by the front of a tractor-trailer traveling west on 411 in the right lane.

The tractor-trailer traveled off the north shoulder of the roadway striking a ditch and overturning onto its left side.

The drivers of the Jeep and Honda were transported to Floyd Medical Center to be treated for injuries.
