Filming for an Amazon production is scheduled to continue this week.

The West Rome bypass will once again be closed between Blacks Bluff Road and Highway 27 South in Floyd County beginning Wednesday and going through Sunday.

The times for the closures are 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Please detour using Walker Mountain Road and Blacks Bluff Road.

A final day of filming is scheduled for April 17 on Park Avenue in Lindale and Darlington Drive between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Park Avenue will be closed at the Old Mill from South First Street to West First Avenue at the railroad tracks.  

Darlington Drive will be closed from the railroad tracks, and across the highway overpass to Old Lindale Road. This closure will halt traffic at Cedar Avenue and the on-ramps and off-ramps for the highway.

The film is called “The Pickup” and stars Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer, and Pete Davidson. However, they will not be here as part of the second unit filming.
