Due to the potential for flash flooding and gusty winds on Tuesday morning, Floyd County, Rome City, Gordon County, Calhoun City, Chattooga County, and Polk County Schools will all operate on a two-hour delay.

In addition, Cherokee County and DeKalb County Schools in Alabama will also operate on a two-hour delay.

The extra two hours will allow bus drivers and their riders, as well as student drivers, to navigate their daily routes in the daylight.
