The Rome City Commission met in an executive session Monday to conduct the yearly evaluation for Rome City Manager Sammy Rich.

During the regular meeting, Rome Mayor Sundai Stevenson announced the results.

“I am pleased to announce that Mr. Rich was recommended for continued employment,” she said. “He received a favorable evaluation and will receive a 4 percent increase in his annual salary.”

Rich received a 7 percent salary increase as part of his last evaluation in December of 2022.

Rich has been city manager for nearly 10 years after he succeeded John Bennett who retired in 2014.
