Two charged with burglary, one charged with criminal trespass
Three homeless people were arrested Tuesday after allegedly entering a residence on Superba Avenue without the permission of the homeowner.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
42-year-old Stephanie Denise Pullen and 27-year-old Brian Lee Kyle are charged with 1st-degree burglary, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug-related objects—in this case, a glass smoking device.
Kyle was additionally charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Meanwhile, 44-year-old Erica Shanita Foster is charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal trespass.
Masked bicyclist arrested
A Rome man was arrested Tuesday evening after he was spotted riding a bicycle on Alabama Highway at Barker Road while wearing a mask.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
55-year-old William Michael Leath was also found with a glass smoking device, and a baggy containing suspected methamphetamine.
He is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects, wearing a mask that conceals the identity of the wearer, and riding a bicycle at night without lights.
Man accused of fleeing from deputies
An Armuchee-area man was arrested on drug charges on North Floyd Park Road after he allegedly fled on foot from Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputies Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
53-year-old James Mitchell Couzzourt was found with bags of methamphetamine and a glass smoking device.
He is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects, misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement, contempt of superior court, and failure to appear.
Search warrant leads to drug trafficking arrest
Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force officers executed a search warrant at a home on Kyle Street Tuesday and arrested a 52-year-old Rome man on methamphetamine trafficking charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Kenneth Raymond Smith possessed over an ounce of meth, packaged for resale, along with oxycodone pills, hydrocodone pills, Alprazolam, Lorazepam, Xanax, cyclobenzipine, and gabapentin that were not prescribed to him.
He also had a baggie of marijuana, a glass smoking device, and digital scales.
Smith is additionally charged with possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of drug-related objects, possession of Schedule IV and Schedule II controlled substances, possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Teen charged with credit card theft
Two stolen credit cards landed a Rome teen behind bars Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
17-year-old Julian Quarnell Williams had possession of a Capital One Platinum Visa and a Merrick Bank Visa that had been reported stolen in November after the victim’s vehicle had been entered.
Williams is charged with two counts of financial transaction card theft.
