Teen charged with party to the crime of robbery

A third arrest has been made in connection with the robbery of a 15-year-old in Silver Creek that occurred back on October 4.

18-year-old Taylor Elizabeth Ashley of Cedartown was booked into the Floyd County Jail Monday on charges of party to the crime of armed robbery, theft by taking, and false report of a crime.

According to the arrest warrant and jail records:

Ashley knew the other three co-defendants were going to rob the victim and was present when the crime occurred.

$100 was taken from the victim at gunpoint.

Ashley also allegedly provided false and misleading information to investigators.

Two others, 17-year-old Ayden Ryan Matthews of Rome and 17-year-old Isaiah Grant FortuneĀ of Silver Creek have been arrested on robbery charges.

Man charged with aggravated battery

An Aragon man is accused of severely beating a woman at his Harmony Road home early Tuesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

31-year-old Edward Allen Hair punched the victim about the face and head and then stomped her while she was on the ground.

The victim sustained several injuries to her face and head.

She also had several bite marks on her body and hand.

Hair is charged with a felony count of aggravated battery.
