Woman accused of neglecting puppies
A homeless woman has been arrested on two counts of aggravated animal cruelty after officers responded to a call regarding a person living in the woods behind a business on Shorter Avenue.
According to the arrest warrant:
26-year-old Sylvia Ann Sullins had two puppies and the mother dog, all showing signs of neglect.
The puppies were extremely emaciated and all of the dogs were infested with fleas.
Man accused of burglarizing restaurant
A homeless man was arrested Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with 2nd-degree burglary.
According to the warrant:
40-year old Randall Paul Pope entered a structure on the property of Chick-fil-A on Riverside Parkway after-hours, taking a hand truck, a heater, and a pair of work gloves.
Pope is also being held on a felony probation violation.
Man arrested following outburst at thrift store
A Lindale man is facing charges of criminal trespass, terroristic threats and acts, and felony obstruction following his arrest at the Goodwill thrift store on Hicks Drive Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
20-year-old Roshawn Taquan Baird broke a television and other items by throwing them on the floor.
He then threatened the manager and another employee.
Baird also started fighting with police officers, pushing them and attempting to pull away.
He also grabbed an officer’s vest while attempting to remove police department equipment.
