Man charged in theft of vehicle dating back to 2017
A 36-year-old Tunnel Hill man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a commercial vehicle that occurred almost seven years ago.
According to the arrest warrant:
Matthew Aaron Rogers took a 1993 International 4000 Series truck from a location on Prosperity Lane off of Highway 53 and Highway 140 in Northeastern Floyd County on January 25, 2017.
The value of the truck was listed at $30,000.
Rogers is charged with a felony count of theft by taking a motor vehicle.
Man arrested for possession of marijuana, oxycodone
The search of a residence on Marshall Lane ended with the arrest of a Rome man on drug charges Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
34-year-old Jordan Lee Sturdyvent was found with over an ounce of marijuana and two oxycodone pills.
He is charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
