WRGA News reached out to all Candidates running in Gordon County for the upcoming 2023 municipal election so that voters can get to know them better.

We heard back from a few of the candidates running and have provided their written or audio messages to the voters in Gordon County down below separated by City and position:

Calhoun District 3 Commissioner Candidate, Michael Hall:

“I Michael K Hall and I am formally announcing my candidacy for the recently vacated position of Gordon County Commissioner District 3.  This is to be filled by a special election to be held on November 7, 2023.

I was born and raised in Gordon County and am a Calhoun High School Graduate.  I am a veteran of the United States Air Force where most of my time was spent in Asia.  After serving honorably in the military I was employed as a part-time manager with United Parcel Service while also attending Dalton State College.  I am a recent retiree from the Georgia State Patrol where I retired with the rank of Sergeant First Class or Post Commander.

I served at Post 5 Dalton, Post 43 Calhoun, Post 3 Cartersville, Post 38 Rome, and Post 48 Atlanta during my career.  I look forward to taking my work ethic and dedication put forth in my career to serve the needs of the citizens of Gordon County.  I want to see that the seemingly rapid growth of our county is controlled and keep Gordon County the safe area between Atlanta and Chattanooga.

I want to ensure that our county’s infrastructure, such as roadways and utilities, can sustain the growth that is already progressing, as well as future demands put forth to the current and longtime citizens of Gordon County.  Let’s keep Gordon County, Gordon County!   A safe clean environment we are all proud to call home. Vote for Michael Hall on November, 7th 2023.”
