The Rome Floyd County Development Authority (RFCDA) is applying for a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Cleanup Grant for the Battey Business Complex (Former Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital) site, located at 705 North Division Street.
As part of the EPA’s community notification policies, a community meeting will be held to discuss the grant application and solicit public comments on the application and proposed use of funds.

During the meeting, the draft application, including the draft EPA-required Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives document, will be available for public review and comment.
Copies of the draft application will also be accessible at the city’s offices during business hours from October 26 to November 1, 2023.
