The Rome Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on July 31, 2023, at the Redmond Food Mart on Redmond Circle in Rome.

On July 31, 2023, around 2:00 a.m., deputies responded to the Redmond Food Mart 1389 Redmond Circle, Rome GA, in reference to an armed robbery.

The male subject, short in stature and build, entered the store, approached the sales counter, and showed a firearm in his waistband while demanding money from the register.

The suspect was wearing a dark sweatshirt, denim pants, tan boots, a light-colored ball cap, and a white medical face mask.

Several of the clothing items including the white mask were abandoned in a vacant lot across from the store after the incident.
