Cave Spring facing drugs, weapons charges

A 23-year-old Cave Spring woman was arrested at her Kings Bridge Road home Wednesday on multiple drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Carrie Breianna Adams was taken into custody after Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force Officers found over five grams of mushrooms, ten Suboxone strips, marijuana, digital scales, smoking devices, and fire firearms in her bedroom.

She is charged with possession of a Scheduled I controlled substance, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Adams was also arrested on a warrant charging her with tampering with evidence.

According to the warrant:

In June of last year, Adams was recorded on the phone lines at the jail, telling a man that she was remotely erasing the data on his cell phone because it had been seized during the execution of a search warrant.

More charges for entering auto suspects

Two Rome men jailed earlier this week for allegedly entering multiple vehicles on Windrush Drive and taking a firearm from one of those are now facing auto theft charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

21-year-old Tyler Michael Zachary and 19-year-old Nicholas Brandon Worthy took a 2017 Toyota 4-Runner from a residence on Collier Street on July 24.

Man accused of having meth while a prison inmate

A former Inmate is accused of having drugs at the Floyd County Prison.

According to the arrest warrant:

23-year-old Jasaih Joshawn Brown of Lavonia was found with four grams of methamphetamine at the prison back on Apr. 8, 2021.

Brown is now lodged in the Floyd County Jail on charges of possession of items prohibited for inmates, possession of methamphetamine, and the sale of methamphetamine.

Search warrant leads charges

The execution of a search warrant in a room at the Ashwood Inn ended with the arrest of a Rome man on a felony charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force officers found 42-year-old Isaac Lamar Chaney in possession of a .22 rifle.
