Two killed, four injured in Cherokee County, Alabama wreck

Two people were killed, and four others were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck in Cherokee County, Alabama Friday evening.  

According to Alabama State Trooper reports the wreck took place on U.S. 411 – near County Road 225 at 6:56 pm and involved a 2009 Toyota Corolla and also a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

One person – a 12-year-old male – was fatally injured and another hurt in the Corolla, with a 75-year-old man being fatally injured – and three others in the Jeep were hurt.

All four of those hurt were transported to Floyd Medical Center in Rome for treatment.

That wreck remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
