Wednesday morning Floyd County 911 dispatch received a report that a two-vehicle accident involving a dump truck had occurred near the intersection of East 8th Street and East Second Avenue.

When first responders arrived at the scene they found a Silver Toyota Camry with front-end damage involved and also a City of Rome Water and Sewer Dump truck.

One patient was transported by Atrium Health Floyd EMS with injuries.  

Traffic in the area of the intersection was briefly impacted until the Toyota Camry could be removed from the roadway.
