Man accused of making threat

A 55-year-old Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with terroristic threats and acts.

According to the warrant:

Darrell Ray threatened a woman by saying he was going to kill her.

Ray was holding a pick when he made the threat.

The incident occurred on March 28 at Ray’s home on Dublin Circle, according to the warrant.

Report: Man kept elderly mother’s rent money

A Lindale man has been arrested on warrants charging him with the exploitation of the elderly criminal trespass.

According to the warrant:

50-year-old Darrell Edward Collier was in charge of his mother’s finances but he failed to pay her weekly rent at the Stay Lodge on Dean Avenue, causing the woman to be evicted.

Collier is also accused of damaging a door and a window screen at the hotel.

Teen accused of selling stolen Cadillac on Facebook

A local teen is accused of selling a stolen vehicle online.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

18-year-old Carl Stanley Stair Jr. of Rome knew or should have known the 1989 Cadillac Brougham was stolen when he listed it for sale on Facebook Market Place for $700.

Stair is charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor count of theft by deception.

Man charged with drug trafficking

A Rome man was arrested at Highway 101 and Lombardy Way Thursday after he was found in possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine, and marijuana.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

42-year-old Alfonza Zeke Perkins was also found with a scale used to weigh drugs.

He is charged with drug trafficking, possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug-related objects.

Man arrested on Shorter Avenue for marijuana, gun possession

A 25-year-old Rome man was arrested on Shorter Avenue at Horseleg Creek Road Thursday on drugs and weapons charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Marcus Lee Brown Jr. admitted that everything locked in the vehicle belonged to him during a traffic stop.

Those items included more than an ounce of marijuana, a Glock handgun, scales, and cash.

Brown is charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of drug-related objects.
