There were only minor injuries reported Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle wreck involving an ambulance at the intersection of Turner McCall Boulevard and Broad Street.

According to a Rome Police report:

The Atrium Health Floyd ambulance was traveling south on Turner McCall, responding to an emergency medical call, and a 2011 Buick Enclave was headed east on Broad.

The Buick struck the ambulance at the intersection.

The ambulance overturned onto its side.

The driver of the Buick said she did not hear the ambulance’s siren while the driver of the ambulance said he saw the Buick coming, but could not stop in time.

The driver and a passenger in the ambulance along with the driver and two passengers in the Buick were taken to Atrium Health Floyd with complaints of minor injuries.

The wreck occurred at around 9:22 p.m. Wednesday.
