35-year-old Rome man arrested for striking an Officer

A 35-year-old Floyd County man is facing multiple charges after an incident that occurred at the Floyd County Jail on Monday. According to Floyd County Jail Records, Eric Marc Gragg of a Gordon Avenue Rome address allegedly struck an officer in the face. The attack caused visible injury and also knocked out teeth.  Gragg also allegedly attempted to stop law enforcement officers from trying to arrest him.  Gragg is being charged with felony and misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement, unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution, and aggravated battery. Police stated that Gragg is also being held at the Floyd County Jail for Gordon County authorities on unspecified charges.
