According to a report by the Rome News Tribune, the Rome Board of Education upheld on Tuesday Superintendent Eric Holland’s request to terminate the contract of Rene Knight, a law enforcement pathway teacher at Rome High.

The board heard evidence and a testimony during a called meeting Monday regarding an incident that occurred on Aug. 30^th. Knight represented herself during the hearing. The board voted to hire Kiwon Thrash as Knight’s replacement.
