FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS
A fifth person has now been charged with 2nd-degree cruelty to children, contributing to the deprivation of a child, and neglect of a disabled adult.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 47-year-old Steven Shane Leatherwood was living in a house on Morton Bend Road with four other adults, as well as three children, all under the age of 2, and a disabled adult.
The home had become so derelict that it posed a hazard to all who were living in it.
The other adults, 37-year-old Rocky Eugene Hayes, 42-year-old Leslie Michelle Smith, 24-year-old Daniel Nickolas Johnson, and 23-year-old Heather Cheyenne Leatherwood were arrested last week.
