On Tuesday the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office activated “RomeGACares” to provide aid and support to Chattooga County after severe flooding in the area left many residents without water.

In the video above, Ethan Garrett with WRGA News went to North Summerville Baptist Church and spoke with the NWGA Red Cross Executive Director Carla Maton, Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader, Chief Deputy Kevin Woods of the Chattooga Sheriff’s Office, Floyd County Sheriff Dave Roberson, and Floyd County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain David Thornton.

For information about dropping off water donations for those residents affected in the Summerville/Chattooga area, please contact the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department or Alternatively the North Summerville Baptist Church (which serves as the largest water distribution point in the area).
