Update:

We’ve completed a search of the perimeter of our building and have not found any evidence of a bomb.

We will have additional deputies monitoring the Sheriff’s Office with perimeter checks throughout the rest of the day.

Previously Reported:

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office has received a bomb threat.

We are currently sweeping the perimeter at the Sheriff’s Office.

The jail is on lockdown and everyone is encouraged to avoid the Sheriff’s Office until further notice is provided.

911 has been notified of the incident. Updates will be provided as soon as we are able.
