A 25-year-old Rome man was arrested Saturday after police say he pointed a gun at another man’s head.
According to Floyd County Jail records, Tiquan Tichristian Barrett also beat and stomped the victim while lying on the ground, causing serious injury.
The incident occurred at a bar at 325 Broad Street, according to the report.
Barrett also allegedly resisted officers and tried to strike them.
The report states that Barrett showed disregard for others by waving the firearm around in a public place.
He wasn’t even supposed to have a gun due to being a convicted felon.
Barrett is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, reckless conduct, disorderly conduct, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and felony obstruction of officers.
