A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Highway 27 in Chattooga County Monday evening.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, 45-year-old Jeremy Paul Crump was walking on the inside northbound lane south of Greeson Street. 

He was hit by a 2007 GMC Yukon, also traveling north in the inside northbound lane.

Crump died from his injuries.

At this time, no charges are expected to be filed against the driver of the Yukon.
