7 Hills Rubicon this Saturday

June 22, 2022–10:56 a.m.

STAFF REPORTS

If you love Jeeps, the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport is the place to be on Saturday.

The Floyd County Police Department is hosting the first-ever Seven Hills Rubicon Jeep vehicle show and ride to support their Santa Bike Patrol.

“This program has been in existence for about three years,” according to Sgt. Chris Fincher with the Floyd County Police Department.  “We offer bicycles to needy children every Christmas.  This year, we are excited to pair Seven Hills Rubicon with that as an exciting way to raise money and to really multiply the number of kids we are able to serve this year.”

The gates open at 9 a.m. Saturday.

“We have one ride that is leaving at 10 a.m. and another at noon,” Sgt. Fincher added.  They will go up into Armuchee and return for our afternoon events.  We do have food trucks and vendors to choose from.  We do have several categories of competition for our Jeep owners, but that’s not a requirement.  If you own a Jeep or are interested in the Jeep culture, we certainly welcome you to come out.  This event is open to everybody.

The competition categories are:

People’s Choice

Most Extreme

Best Restoration

Ultimate Beater
