STAFF REPORTS

The Rome City Commission has approved a rezoning request for additional townhomes on Lee Avenue.

Howard Alexander requested the rezoning from High-Density Traditional Residential to Multi-Family Residential.

The plan is to demolish the existing home to allow for the expansion of the gated townhouse development at the corner of Lee Avenue and East 7th Street.

Commissioners also approved the rezoning of property on Rogers Drive from Community Commercial to Duplex Residential.

The applicant is proposing to develop the property with six to eight duplex buildings that would be accessed by a private drive through the center of the parcel from Addington Drive.

The buildings would be a mix of three bedrooms and 2 bedrooms.
