On Tuesday morning a residential fire was reported to 911 dispatch at 303 East 20th Street.

When the Rome-Floyd Fire Department arrived at the scene they confirmed visible flames and smoke coming from within the structure.

The blaze was dispatched quickly with no damage to other surrounding structures.

No one appeared to be inside the structure during the time of the fire.

The Fire Department stated at the scene that they are investigating the cause of the blaze.
