Floyd County has experienced a slight increase in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks.

The testing positivity rate is around 9%, according to Dr. Gary Voccio, health director for the 10-county Georgia Department of Public Health Northwest District.

Fortunately, we are not seeing a major increase in COVID-19-related hospitalizations.

Since the start of the pandemic, Georgia has seen 2 million COVID-19 cases and more than 32,000 deaths.
