Georgia gas prices are up 14 more cents compared to a week ago.

Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $4.27 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

That is 51 cents more than last month, and $1.37 more than this time last year.

According to AAA, prices at the pump are likely to remain high; therefore, it may be a good idea to start setting aside some money now for upcoming road travel.

Local averages on Monday were $4.24 in Floyd and Chattooga Counties.

The average price was $4.26 in Gordon, Polk, and Bartow Counties.
