Area residents will gather later this week to honor Rome and Floyd County Law Enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.

The 2022 Peace Officers Memorial Service will be held this coming Friday at 11 a.m. at the Law Enforcement complex memorial plaza downtown.

The service will feature bagpipes and a multi-agency honor guard.

There will also be an honor roll call where 20 fallen officers will be remembered.
