FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 20-year-old Rome man is accused of escaping as Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputies were attempting to arrest him on an outstanding warrant on Smith Road Tuesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Damon Malik Frazier kicked at and hit the officers as he was attempting to flee.

He then knocked officers out of the way and escaped from a sheriff’s office vehicle.

Frazier then escaped a second time by rolling down the rear window of the law enforcement vehicle and going through it.

He is charged with escape, felony obstruction of officers, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and failure to appear in court.
