A man being sought in connection with a deadly hit and run involving a bicycle earlier this month is now in custody.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 34-year old Carlos Zapete Vicente was arrested Thursday and charged with 2nd-degree homicide by vehicle, hit and run, and failure to report an accident resulting in serious injury or death.
20-year old Joseph Campbell was struck by a pickup truck as he rode his bicycle on Redmond Circle at Westside Industrial Boulevard at around 7:49 p.m. on March 9.
The pickup then left the scene.
Campbell was pronounced dead at the hospital at 8:48 p.m. that evening.
