Charles Bowman is back in custody at the Floyd County Jail.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office made the following statement:

“We’d like to thank all the news agencies for quickly sharing the previous press release and citizens that also helped us spread the word! Thank you to the Fugitive Task Force, Floyd County Prison, Department of Corrections, RPD, FCPD, GSP & Norfolk Southern for assisting us in a quick capture.”

Previously: On the morning of January 12, 2022, an inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Charles Richard Bowman, left his outside detail at the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.

Mr. Bowman is facing drug-related charges and a probation violation.

If you see Mr. Bowman please do not approach, contact 911 immediately.

A felony escape warrant has been issued for Mr. Bowman and all local agencies are working together to locate him.
