ROME POLICE REPORTS

The Rome Police Department continues to investigate a reported armed robbery early Sunday morning at a store on Martha Berry Boulevard.

According to the police report, the clerk told the officer that she had just opened the door to the cashier’s room at Three Point to throw something away when two men came into the store, wearing masks.

One of the men pointed a handgun in the clerk’s face and told her to “Give it up.”

The clerk ran into the restroom and locked the door.

She could hear the men saying “Hurry up” to each other.

When she no longer heard them talking, she left the restroom, went to her car, and called 911.

The men got away with around $1,000 and also stole both the Night Owl DVR boxes, valued at $350 each.
