Scammers are working overtime this holiday season and they want your hard-earned money.

According to the Floyd County Police Department, some of the scammy texts claim that your telephone bill has been paid and encourage you to click a link for a surprise.

Others claim to be tracking numbers for Amazon packages.

BEWARE of suspicious messages and do not click links you are not expecting.
